glasses

So I ordered some glasses from zennioptical.com. It's a super cool website with inexpensive glasses. Just enter your prescription and then you get them in the mail! It's the best kept secret for people who have glasses.
Everyone has been asking me if they are fake (for style) or for function. Well, these are for reals!

I also got a new lipstick from MAC. (Not the macintosh/apple store, MAC as in the makeup). It's a super cool color. If you wear it really dark it is kind of a purply-magenta color. If you wear it lighter, it ends up having a more pink hue. I love it.

Also, I cut my own hair recently. It was getting long and shaggy in the back. My hair is growing ridiculously fast right now because I have been taking biotin. Thanks Christy!! Not too bad for cutting my own hair right, and making Travis hold a hand mirror so I can see the back.

Lizzie's cute. that's all.

These are my prescription sunglasses I got from Zenni. This is my fourth pair of glasses from them and I have been really satisfied with each one I get.

Gotta love the pepper dog. Dodger was too wiggly and wouldn't stay still for the picture, so I ended up lettin him go and making pepper stay still for the pic. :)

vday a little late

Sorry so late, but I wanted to post pics from valentines day!

Travis decorated this cookie at work and got a prize for having such a creative cookie.
We went to Red Lobster for dinner and we had crab!! I love crab and I could eat it every day of my life. Actually all seafood is delicious to me!

For the title of this post I was tempted to say, "For Vday, I got crabs!!" but I didn't think that would go over very well. :)
Our moms didn't teach us to not play with our food.
Sippin on a yummy passion colada drink! It was so divine.
I got beautiful roses, a card, a nerd rope, and a blanket with a heart pillow! Really cheesy but hey, at least I got something! It was really thoughtful. I'm always cold and could use extra blankets. It's super soft!
Our day ended with lots of snuggles and sitting in bed watching a movie.

Over all our valentines day was great. Anyway, hope you enjoy your 3 day weekend and presidents day tomorrow!

i found this

I was digging through some old files on my computer and I found this. I wrote it when I was in college like 5 years ago: (I needed to find this today, really helped me remember who I am.)

I am Kat Shattuck.

I used to think that I was the only one

to over analyze things, but guys do it too!

I’ve realized that kisses aren’t like pretzels to give away,

and as much as I hate to admit it, I’m a sentimental kisser.

I don’t like chasing boys, but I do like chaste boys.

I’ve learned that it’s important to never judge anyone,

no matter the circumstance.

We just need to give love, and I’ve got plenty of that.

Although some friends come and go like the weather,

the best ones are the ones who will weather the storm with me.

They are my sunshine, and I LOVE the sun.

I want to walk a little slower and take deep breaths.

There really is no need to rush.

Because all of us will be lonely at some point in our life,

I am trying to be grateful and cherish the people around me.

I’ve learned that life isn’t about how

many people I have in my life,

but more importantly how many people’s lives I’m a part of.

I used to think that I had no fears,

but now I know what they are,

and I am able to admit them.

I’m learning to have moderation in all things,

and that it’s okay to be normal in emotion.

I like to dance in the kitchen and sing with

my mom, sister and suzie spanky.

I like to play on the swings and cuddle on the couch.

I like McDonald’s ice cream cones and beautiful sunsets.

For some reason I thrive off of stress.

My life is a roller coaster and if anyone wants to come along,

they better get behind and hold on tight!!

I know I’m not perfect, but of what I do, I’m dang good at it.

I know who I am.

I am Kathryn Eileen Shattuck,

A Daughter of God.

england pt. 4

Tower of London

Westminster Abbey
Picking up Lizzie!
Hyde Park

South Ken, Super posh!

The only place that was open was a Pub!! We were starving and needed to eat. Plus, it was blizzarding outside.

they have a hotel at the temple. Patrons who go to the temple can stay there. It is pretty cool, actually!
The London Temple!! I wanted to get pictures of more angles but it was snowing so hard and we were in a rush to get places.
We hitch-hiked and ended up the the back of a plumber's van!

The roads aren't THAT bad, but in England when it snows even an inch people stop everything and no one goes anywhere. they shut down pretty much everything. (Trains, cabs, the underground... everything).

This was the nice man who was willing to take us to the train station!

Here we are, at the station, HOPING that a train would stop here to take us back up to London (Where ALL of our luggage was).
Cornish Pasties, ooooh so good.
Us with all our crazy luggage (9 1/2 pieces, in all... until we consolidated)
There are like ZERO elevators in England. We had to drag all this luggage up and down several flights of stairs anywhere we went. I definitely used some muscle power, there.
This is where Lizzie lived/served in Lowestoft! The cutest town, ever.

Dinner at the Bells.
My dad tried on my mom's wig.
The Bell family. The craziest, most fun family to be around... EVER. All really happy and silly people.

Well folks, that's the end of my trip to England! I have a TON more pictures that I didn't include, but I figured you were all probably bored by now, so I'll move on to other things. :) Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Lizzie gave us matching PJ's for Christmas from Primark (THE BEST store ever)
Awesome sunglasses

Lunch at Aisha's! It was delicious. She cooked Indian Food for us.
and of course... dessert!
Lizzie playing with a light saber
The Barrons
The Feltons
A traditional English Breakfast! It was so delicious!
My dad chowing down. :)
The Listers. Lesley was so sweet to let us all stay with her!!
John "the provider." He was always helping out the missionaries and he is such a cool and genuine guy.
Our animal hats are kissing. :)
The most awesome old fashioned sweets shoppe! They had so much candy there! It reminded me of willy wonka where the kids would go after school for treats.
