I already had plans that night with my friends to go to sushi (it was my friend Jamie's birthday), and I wasn't going to be home until 8. Chris and Sandy wanted to drop Kylee off at 6:30. Well, I sort of volunteered Travis (I asked him beforehand) to watch Kylee until I could get back.
Well, it wasn't really a "test" per se, however I was curious to know how Travis would handle taking care of Kylee on his own. I wanted to know if he would freak out or if he would be fine, AND if he would just end up watching T.V. and let her wander off. I kept texting him to see how it was going, and he always replied that things were going great! He was passing the test. :)
Needless to say, he was great! They were playing when I got home. This is what I saw when I walked in the door.
She absolutely ADORES Travis! Anytime I tried to get Kylee to walk to me, she would go to Travis' arms instead! It was so cute, and I couldn't help but imagine what it will be like when we have children of our own. Travis is great with kids, and especially Kylee. He loves playing with her, and she loves him back. It's very cute and I know he will make a great Dad someday!
Kylee eventually warmed up to me and we read books together.
She is such a cutie and I love spending time with her! In fact, we just got back from dinner with Chris and Sandy now, and she gives me kisses! I think a few more weeks and she'll be saying "Kat." I already got my other adoptive nephew Marcus saying it and he says it everytime he sees me now. Kylee's next! :)

A second Shanna's comment AND since I was out to dinner with you I can vouch for your nerves :) You were so great to come out and celebrate Jamie's birthday with us, but I know how scary that can be! She's adorable and I can't wait to meet YOUR kids!
