Meet Pepper. She is our new little puppy! I love her so much! I can't get enough of her! She's such a good little girl, and she's so tiny! This picture actually makes her look big, but she's tiny! She is only 6 weeks old. She loves to play with us! We're definitely getting good practice of being parents. We had to "puppy-proof" the house when we got home! She was getting into everything! We are teaching her to be house trained (aka potty trained) and it's quite a challenge! We enjoy it though. I LOOOOOOVE having a puppy! I'm really not an animal person, but we love our Pepper! She is so freaking cute. She's already being exposed to other dogs/animals and especially kids. So far so good! You'll have to come over and play with her! She loves visitors. :)
So... how we came up with her name is quite funny. We were debating on several names for a while (trying to decide if we were gonna actually use the names on our baby name list) and I liked Stella, Dottie or Clementine... and Trav wasn't too keen on those names. I figured he needed to have a say in what her name was as well, so we needed to pick a name we could both agree on. Our friends Chris and Sandy were over, and Chris said, "Why don't you name her after your favorite food or drink or something?"
Jokingly, I said, "What... like Dr. Pepper?"
Then Trav said, "Wait... Pepper! That's cute!!"
I agreed. We both agreed. Finally!
And that's how our puppy was named! Cute little Pepper. She is so much fun! I can't believe I have a dog!!!

Whoo! Congrats on becoming animal parents! :) You'll absolutely LOVE having a dog in your life! I'll have to loan you some dog books that I read and helped me SOOO much with disciplining your dog the right way. :) I'll bring it to class tomorrow.
I think Miss Pepper is a really cute name and reminds me of the dog yoour Grandpa and I had when we first got marries......her name was Pepper too! She is adorable.....what is her breed?

Pepper is a Mix between a Mini Dachshund and a Boston Terrier. She's just cute as a button!
