Today my mom pointed out to me that I am going to be 25 soon. I feel old, even though I know I'm not.
My mom had me when she was exactly my age. We are 25 years apart! When she was my age, she already had 2 kids. It's crazy to me to think that I could've had 2 kids at this age. (I would have probably strangled myself by now if that was my reality. I am NOT ready.)
I'm forced to think about my little life and how insignificant it seems. Have I really done anything worthwhile? I don't have many regrets, but I have to be pleased with what I've accomplished so far. (So, as to heed my therapists requests, I will write them down.)
I've interpreted for general young women's conference for the LDS church 3 times.
I interpreted for classic rock concerts on friday nights in the summertime in santa cruz, CA.
I was in musicals in high school.
I've been to Mexico, Switzerland, France, Italy, Hong Kong, and China. (soon... London!)
I got married.
I bought a house. (Ok, WE bought a house)
I got a dog. (again, WE got a dog)
I am graduating from college with a BA degree.
I am "professional" level certified in Utah (Level 2) for interpreting.
I am NIC Advanced certified. (interpreting)
I've interpreted for the Prophet of our church.
I've made some of my own clothes.
I've cut my own hair (pics to come, stay tuned).
Well, I guess that's the end of my list. It may not be much, but it's something to be proud of. Lately you all know about how I've been trying to accept not being "the best" at everything, and part of the process to see what I've already accomplished and to be proud of that, instead of always trying to one-up other people.
So... that's what I've done in the last 25 years (and many other things that I didn't include on the list). Who knows where the next 25 years will lead me!

The prophet is the prophet for the whole world. He is the president of our church but he IS the prophet for everyone.
Nice list, I haven't done any of those things.
Wow, you left so much out...if you want MY list of what you've accomplished, let me know! You just did the bare bones girl! I can't believe I'm 50. When you're fifty I hope you love it as much as I do. The best is yet to come! For BOTH of us! Happy Early Birthday!
i like your mom's comment. I don't know the half of it, but I'd like to see her list! you rock my friend. Don't forget about the little things, those are what really make a difference.

"Just so you know"...the prior comment was me. I was on Lizzie's account and was saying "WooHoo, your birthday is JULY 6th!" then I realized it was on Lizzie's account and I didn't want to freak you out, because she's on a mission, so I deleted it, and then forgot to tell you it was me, so it WAS. :) I forget to sign out when I update her account sometimes. Oh well...
