I did it.
In my entire life I have NEVER tried yogurt. Every time I smell it, I want to hurl.
Because of my stomach issues, I need acidophilus, which is in yogurt. I thought I could force myself to eat some. So the last time I was at the grocery store, I bought 3 yogurts in flavors I thought I could tolerate.
Today I opened my first one. I took one whiff and gagged. (Not exaggerating).
I plugged my nose and took a spoonful into my mouth. Disgusting.
I tried without plugging my nose, maybe the taste wasn't so bad.... I was wrong.
People in the breakroom at work were laughing at my noises and gagging.
I ate less than 1/4 of that yogurt cup, and I threw the rest away. I just can't do it. I don't feel bad. It was only 29 cents.
Travis will have to eat the rest.
As for me, I'll do just fine taking my acidophilus pills, and avoid the yogurt.

Ha ha! that is funny. I hate all yogurt with the fruit chunks in it. But i love the plain creamy ones, like vanilla, key lime and such; especially with granola!
thats so funny! do you like frozen yogurt? cause I will just put mine in the freezer sometimes and eat it like a dessert... if its a texture thing that may help... not that you want to try yogurt ever again after this experience :)
Don't feel bad. It might simply be hereditary. I can't. I won't. There's just this aftertaste that is very "disturbing". :) It's just not right.
i'd say try it with granola too, but if you don't like it, you don't like it...no worries my friend!
Serious?? LOL! That's so funny! I learned something new about you today! :) Maybe you should try Greek yogurt? Try the regular one and the honey flavored one, they might be better than the sugary yogurts that you've tried. ;)
I go back and forth with my tolerance for yogurt. When I was in elementary school, I had strawberry banana yogurt in my lunch every day. Then one day I gagged when I tried to eat it - I'd just had too much. To this day, I won't eat that flavor. And I still don't eat a lot of yogurt.
